Our Facility:
Each of our dog pens have a 5'x6' indoor area with a doggy door to their own 5'x10' outdoor run. We have a limited number of kennels with no outdoor access.
Building is cooled/heated.
Fenced outdoor play area connected to our building.
Located on 7 acres for daily walks/adventures.
Visits by appointment only.
Our lobby is closed on the following days every year - which means arrivals & departures are not available on:
4th of July
Thanksgiving
Christmas Eve
Christmas Day
Arrival & departure hours: 5pm-7pm Sunday - Friday. Lobby closed to arrivals & departures on Saturdays.
Rate:
$30+tax/night.
Additional dog (same kennel) + $15+tax/night.
The nightly fee covers your pets care for that night and the following day.
If your dogs cannot eat together, they will need to board in separate pens.
In the event of picking up your dog(s) earlier than your scheduled departure date, you will still be charged for the dates you reserved for your dog(s) to stay.
We understand that in extenuating circumstances you cannot pick up and/or drop off during our hours posted. ALL "out of hour" drop offs/pick ups must be OK'd by us prior and will be charged as an additional night stay. Two separate fees are added to your bill if you drop off AND pick up outside of our hours posted, this also includes OK'd Saturday pick ups/drop offs.
Cancellation Policy:
Please keep in mind when making a reservation we are holding your pet's room pending your arrival. When we reach our full capacity for reservations we have to refuse reservation requests and turn business away. If you do not cancel your reservation in a timely manner we may be unable to re-book the space reserved for your pet.
We require a minimum of 48 hours notice on cancellations. Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled drop off date will be charged $50 per reserved pen.
We require a minimum of 72 hours notice on holiday cancellations. Holiday cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to scheduled drop off date will be charged 50% of your booked stay.
Holidays: New Years, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas.
NO SHOWS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BOARD WITH US IN THE FUTURE.
Additional information:
Reservations are required for all stays.
Dogs must be at least 4 months of age. The reason behind this, during this period, your puppy should have completed their regimen of "puppy" vaccines, which is usually around 16 weeks of age.
You are allowed to bring bedding as long as it is washable and your pet doesn't chew or eat it. If your pet is chewing or eating the bedding it will be taken away so that they don't hurt themselves. Some pets will chew bedding etc. when they are in a new environment away from home but don't chew on these items at home. Don't be too upset about this; it is normal for some dogs.
A couple of toys and bones are welcome. Bones that are sharp or too small for your pet will not be given to them during their stay.
Clean dishes are supplied for your pet. Please bring your pets usual food to avoid any tummy troubles from switching foods. Refrain from bringing a 50# bag for a couple day stay. Instead, please use an ice cream pail, baggies, Tupperware, etc. (an ice cream pail will hold enough food for an average dog for 4-5 days.)
Please have medications in clearly marked containers with pet's name and dosage amount on each item. Be sure to bring extra meds in case you are unable to pick up your pet when you had planned to.
We are committed to providing a safe environment for your dog(s). We require that all vaccination records be provided prior to boarding. They can be emailed to rayohauskennels@gmail.com
These vaccinations are required for your pet to visit Rayo Haus Kennels:
Rabies -administered either yearly or every three years.
Distemper
Parvo
Parainfluenza (DHPP, DAPP etc.)
Bordetella (kennel cough) -administered yearly.
All dogs must have a current flea and tick preventative.
Please keep all your pets on a leash or in a crate while on the premises for safety reasons.
At pick up, we find it easier to settle the bill first, as the reunion can be pretty exciting and chaotic. Please help us remember your pet's belongings and medications.
