Welcome to Rayo Haus German Shepherds! We are small hobby breeders of West German show line German Shepherds. We are located on a beautiful acreage in Butterfield MN, just 2 hours southwest from Minneapolis. 

The GSD is currently being over-bred resulting in low quality litters that are not from the best German lines in the world. Rayo Haus German Shepherds is one of the original breeders in the state of Minnesota. We were the first to bring world class VA litters to the state and have always focused on only getting better throughout the years! Sure we call ourselves "hobby breeders" but we have produced some of the best litters this state has seen.

A lot of other breeders import the most expensive dogs they can afford and that is fine. Its one way of doing this. We also followed that route in the beginning, but in the end you're only breeding someone else's work. 

We chose to hold back our stud from our own world class litter and used him as the foundation to our program because we believed in him. He is still the perfect dog with a loving temperament and is as healthy as they can come. Yes you're guessing right, that's our best bud, the legendary Magnum von Gottschalk.

We have a very limited amount of litters per year and are dedicated to producing healthy puppies with outstanding temperaments, strong nerves, a rich red/black pigment, and correct structure. Our program is focused on bettering the breed by selecting high quality, health tested dogs from some of the best imported lines from Germany. 

Thanks to recent technology like Embark testing, we can assure the health behind our dogs with a piece of mind.

At Rayo Haus German Shepherds you won't find multiple litters on the ground at the same time. We do not hide how many dogs we own. You will only find transparency.
